Trials Smithy
Hi guys, I was looking at a KOT MS2 and have been wondering about the rear end, the wheel! Where i have looked it says you can run a maximum rim size of 47mm but a Echo drilled 06 rim is 48mm What i was wanting to know would it be possible to run a Echo rim? as 1/2 a mill each side cant make that much difference can it? And would a 2.5 maxxis tyre be able to fit? Cheers for the help guys Smithy

chrishayton
its 1 mm it will be fine, if you have to sand .5mm off you pads.
smelly joe
shouldn't be a problem if you are going to grind your rim, because the grind should slightly reduce the width of the rim. i don't really think that 1mm will make a whole lot of difference anyway
JonCongreve
Hi.My mates got one and they ride realy nice. I would say that the rim would fit fine, but i'm not too sure about fitting a 2.5" tire, as my mate's 2.4" just fits. The one downside about the frame is how much the chainstays flex through braking, although you get this with alot of frames there is quite a bit of flex in this frame and a booster would help alot. Hope this has helped
