I LOVE MY ADAMANT, its great, really enjoy riding it, and i have never had more fun. My toxsin was good, it was a great bike, but mainly for taps, which i like, but not as much as hooks and sidehops. Also in my opinion is much better for natural.Both of ali's above comments are opinions, and i know i disagree. Ali is an awesome rider, and knows what he is talking about with regard to GEO and bikes in general, however i think its each to their own on this.I LIKE HIGH BB RISE, its good. better for the things i like doing. but, if you like tapping then dont go there. its not a bike for taps. im just starting to get there, but is difficult. also dont go with such a high rise stem, i have the low HIFI stem on my bike and its LUSH Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
theone2be Posted December 12, 2005 Author Report Share Posted December 12, 2005 Ive decided to not go for a high rise bb, so i'll probaly get a Echo Control, i dont want to make myself get any worse by trying to get used to a high rise bb. Mabey when i go for a ride with someone who has a high rise i'll try it out and see, but untill then i'll stick with the normal bb. Ali C Posted December 12, 2005 Report Share Posted December 12, 2005 I feel guilty now I never managed to get the hang of taps on my hifi, but sidehops, pigeons (wheelswaps) and hooks were all nicer.The main thing for me was just the feel, it wasnt "fun" to ride, too twitchy. With normal frames I feel you can spice things up easier, things like backwards manuals, spinny stuff etc. I just felt that things like that were not as suitable on that frame.If you like to just do standard moves, then high bbs can be nice, but they just arnt for me. theone2be Posted December 13, 2005 Author Report Share Posted December 13, 2005 I might try a high bb now (i know i change my mind alot) but I'll have alot of time to get used to it because I wont change my frame when I get it for a while, so i should be able to learn taps with it. Whats the problem people are having with taps on these high rise bb's then? Is it just the feel of them or is it something different?p.s. You'll look much better being a good rider. Bendee Posted December 13, 2005 Report Share Posted December 13, 2005 HIFI, i really am starting to love mine it just seems to get better the more i ride it i think once your used to it (this may take more than a week or two as it is a big change in riding style) you will like it you just have to give these high bb frames a chance.i think the reason there have been so many people not liking the hifi is because they simply havent gave the hifi long enough.pic of mine.....
