Janson
Just found this, pretty interesting. If you think winter is cold to ride in and wanna have a beanie or so on your head, but don't want to crack your skull open or so, check this new Swiss stuff out.. Pretty clever, could be good for you fashionable street riders with common sense. article about RibCapRibCap.comThough it's not readily avaliable in the UK yet, it might be eventually? haydon_peter
The ribcap doesn’t offer a complete headprotection and doesn’t comply with any standards established for protective headgear like helmetsor u could just save the money and put ur helmet over ur beanie like iv been doing whe its cold..but it is a pretty awesome idea.I do the same if I really need to wear a beanie. I have an old fairly thin Fox beanie that fits under my Giro E2 helmet...
Ali C
I wouldnt wear one I'd rather get a cold head and wear a helmet. If you cant stand a cold head, then a Buff is your best friend, best headwear item ever, nice and thin so it can easily go under a helmet but dam warm. Sponge
To be honest, helmet wearing, doesn't give such a cold head really.. Not for me at least, I'm using a Giro Semi MX, which has reasonable ventilation, it keeps my head at a happy temperature during cold rides I think, and gives me brain overheating during sunny days

poopipe
I've got a thingy for wearing under a skiing helmet - its like a sort of lycra head condom with a fuzzy liner crossed with a swimming cap, its dead thin and uber warm (even covers your ears) and you dont have to adjust your lid straps like when you wear a beanie
