Waynio
Altura jackets iv had one for 3 years and its only JUST started to show signs of wear (well signs of crashes as it has 1 rip in it from a crash up at addingham the other day)the £50 nevis is a cracking jacket for the £££ windproof waterproof and breathable. if you want something lighter then i would advice something on the lines of the below:Altura Nevis JacketAltura Night Vision JacketAltura Stream Ultralight Jacketim using an old one that is a heavier jacket like the Nevis BUT have recently got a Sympatex jacket made by altura and is super light weight like the Stream ultra light jacket. just to let you know if you wish to get a stream jacket if you let me know i can do them at £45.00 INCL P+P this is only available through me. in the store and on the web they show £59.99. jacket is available in Red or Yellow. the stream is ultra light as it says and even folds/rolls up as small as a 330ml can of pop.but the quality of my jacket and from other people buying them and using them they are one of the best jackets to buy. wouldnt swop mine for anything even though it has a rip in it. still serves me well.Waynio....................... Bionic Balls
i've got a breathable "mac in a pac" type thing...peter storm from millets.Pretty cheap...fits into a dandy little bag too so it's easy to carry. I'd rather not ride in a "coat" type thing. Wearing layers and a thinnish waterproof is much better in my opinion..adam
Synergy
i went for the more stylish look and got a heay oakley jacket, unfortunately i would be easy to get mugged in becasue if some hit me to the ground all i would be able to do is lie on my back like a turtle because its hard to move in .
