New Echo Cranks

sir trial a lot

They look very nice to me, if your worried about scratches, get the silver ones.

The seem nice and light, extremely well made, and if they are up to the usual echo standards they will definitly be worth the price.

Ime running the black ones there ok just the threads don't seam to be cut straight at all so you can't get very nice chain tenntion as one crank forward its nice and tight swap it to the other one and its stupidly loose :$ that for one thing really pisses me off, and i no ime not the only person to have this problem.

There not too bad on the scratches, I only have the usual ones not yet had the anodiseing wearing off from my shoes and ive had them a good 4 mounths.

Why not have a look at the money cranks ive heard nothing but good things about thoes and i think they are the same price?

I have the echo forged cranks, they are new, but not the machined ones. I had some fitment issues with a couple different 128mm bb's and a white industries freewheel. When the crank bolts were torqued the eno pressed against the BB cup on the drive side. Very annoying and it took a lot of work to get it to be compatible on my HiFi. Just fyi, as i know you are looking at the machined ones ;) i dont think it was the bottom bracket of the freewheel, i just think the echo tolerances are slightly off. You shouldnt have a problem with a fixed cog up front :$

If they were square-tapered, it suggests that you'd over-tightened the cranks before, and therefore they got pressed out, so you'd end up having them on too far. Same happened to my Muscleman cranks.

nope, they are isis, but thanks for the suggestion. I dont really know what the deal is. i had to fabricate a really small washer to put on the spindle before the crank arm went on to make it clear. I think it may be the fact taht its a 73mm bb taht is centered on a 68mm bb shell as opposed to a pure 68mm bb in a 68mm bb shell. with the 73 and the spacers to center it, i think it has less spindle length that is actually exposed so the cup is closer to the freewheel to begin with. Oh well, it works now. thanks :P
