msn had competition in the form of icq... Icq pretty much died but since the release of later triallian versions, utlising msn, yahoo, icq, aol im and even irc... its fighting back!

messenger isnt the best.. its just the most common.

Shame its shit. Google talk has been around for atleast 4 months, and beta testers had it much, much longer.

Oh right, well I just bothered to look at the adverts on my gmail account.

I havent had enough of a play with it to judge how good/bad it is.

You don't need time to learn its shit. Within 1 minute of having a conversation with someone on it, i realised how very bollocks it was. I like the simplisisity of it, but its simply to simple, and i hate the way it only puts the messagers name down once if more then one message is sent in a row.
