Jonny Jones
Argh! There are two links, which one to choose? :) What one are you talking about J? Ill get both, but which one is the better of the two? Like Si said, get the .mov version - smaller file size. Its dead good quality so you can easily stretch the window. I recommend downloading it though, not streaming it as you can watch it again and again and again and.... ye get me? :) .mov = QuickTime (just so you know) Problem? Click Me. Just awesome how Rankin can adapt his shooting and interview style to TV as well as DVD's etc. EDIT: The .m4v file is the real broadcast version, with countdown clock and everything. Proper 4:3 size so you get the Widescreen Letterbox - higher quality too? J. Edited December 7, 2005 by trialmedia

mod_rider
Awesome comp, wish I'd gone now, didn't realise aitken and wade were going to be there. Nice to get a preview before we see it on extreme no doubt. No offence to the commentator geez, but how does he always get the job, he commentates at the X Games and Gravity aswell, and he has the wierdest voice ever. Anyway, sick ass vid
Mark W
He commentates on loads of other comps too, it's nuts! Just seems to be "Mr. BMX" almost :) Weird. His name's Paul Roberts, or "g-bags" or whatever you want to call him, pretty much. Waiting for it to DL now, tail waggin'. Only 86kb/sec which is a bit arse, but meh. Backyard was great, so another reminder can't hurt :) EDIT: Just got it now. That vid was really, really good. Some of the harshest slams I've ever seen there, but yeah, well worth the download. It's weird how almost 2 months on it still brings back all the feelings I had when I was there, just the whole "f**k yeah!" moment of Gary Young getting the wallride to whip, etc. So good :D
spangler
Yeah grott bags is annoying lol. kinda reminded me of props crash a bit. :) Was a good comp nice to see people going for it, and inventing new stuff. I'll have to get down epic and start busting out some new crashes soon :)

butcha87
Really well put together and edited! :) Some of those bails were sick, awesome riding, hopefully raise the funds to be there next year! haydon_peter
That was a great video :P Nothing more to say about the video really, but I want to know: The video is 26mins long, the quality to be fair is very good as far as internet video's go, the file size is only 96mb! Every one of the (limited) Quicktime videos I have downloaded recently have a stupidly good quality to file size ratio! Why are more people not using quicktime?
BONGO
grotbags gets the crowd going like nobody else can. If he wants you to go wild, you go wild in the crowd. If he wants the rider to go wild, he does something special with his voice and you somehow feel obliged to ride amazing! He is to bmx what murray walker was to F1, in that he knows every single rider, and everything about them. He IS a rider, and knows everything about riding, so is accurate. He is the best, thats why he is the voice of every big contest worldwide :P :P Downloading now.....

Every one of the (limited) Quicktime videos I have downloaded recently have a stupidly good quality to file size ratio! Why are more people not using quicktime? because the only way to get decent qt (preferrably the new h264) quality is by exporting it in final cut pro, avaliable on macs only.. ive tried using quicktime pro, but i have yet not had any half-decent resuts of it.. it's weird, when looking at uncompressed dv in media player, it looks ace, but in QT it looks shoddy. if people learnt how to do it properly though, it'd be cool. people use wmv/mpg more often, because it's so much easier.. nowadays, there are plenty of divx/xvid tutorials out, so people start using that more frequently aswell. Plus I think Rankin uses Final Cut Pro and I recon theres loads of settings on there to fiddle with. Im getting a G5 Quad soon with luck, so all my stuff with be QuickTime. Bongo, how'd if feel to be on TV? :P J.

You have to either edit it on a mac, or buy Quicktime Pro and convert it. Most people use Adobe Premier or WMM... Matt Beringer's riding is awesome, that backflip, how the f**k can you flip off that and the first wallride variation. mike
Mark W
What was up with Baz Keeps cockiness though! From my interpretation of it, it just seemed like he was having a laugh really. He did sorta laugh at one point when he was saying it, and he seemed to be struggling to keep a straight face? Meh, who knows :$
