TheMunn
I'm pretty sure there isn't such thing as a ti rear hub.

Mr Motivator
Well CK make a Ti headset. I expect if you wrote them a nice letter they could probably make you a Ti hub. It would be pointless though. King hub shells are strong enough as they are and if/when they do crack CK would probably replace it cheaply or maybe even freely. Save yourself the hasle (Y) Just get a 'normal' one.
shovel
i'm really sure that they don't make a ti rear hub, they only make ti headsets even the headsets are rare though, they only make like 1 or 2 batches of them a year because of the cost of them
Tomm
No such thing as far as I know. There was a Titanium Hope though (Y)
tipsy Jock
Is there not a colour called ti? could be that possibly maybe
Sam Nichols
It would be pointless though. King hub shells are strong enough as they are Titanium is lighter though? Are you sure it's not a CK hub with a titanium axle or freehub/driveshell or something like that? Not sure, just chucking a few ideas around. Mr Motivator
Titanium is lighter though? No, it's as light as Aluminium, yet has the strength properties of Steel. Edit: Yeah they did do a Ti driveshell. Fletch had one. Edited December 6, 2005 by Sam@SouthTrials
Sam Nichols
No, it's as light as Aluminium, yet has the strength properties of Steel. Actually pound for pound titanium is heavier than aluminium but is stronger... meaning a titanium body can end up the same weight as it's alu counterpart because it can be made thinner. So kinda useless really, and i just disproved my theory too (Y) go me!
Prawny Baby
Actually pound for pound titanium is heavier than aluminium jesus christ i dont think ive laughed that hard in a while..... read it again boy :)

Sam Nichols
jesus christ i dont think ive laughed that hard in a while..... read it again boy :) Piss off :D I said it wrong, I meant if you have the same quantity i.e. 1 square foot of titanium and the same of aluminium the titanium will be heavier. :)
Janson
how thick though? 1 cubic foot maybe :)

street trials rider
if the alu CK's retail at like £280 (UK price, forget aspire velotechs prices a sec ) then you'd be talking like £400-£500+ no doubt... and for some bizare reason, i dont think someone would pay that to save like 10grams.... CK hubs are expensive enough as it is<3 my CK SS Disk rear hub Edited December 9, 2005 by street trials rider
MrSuave
King DO NOT make a titanium freehub body for there hubs, they do make a steel one though its not as light as the ali ones but theres less problems with teeth cutting into the freehub body if your using individual cogs. They do make a spangly Ti cassette lock ring though. mmmmmm... Check it and droooooool; http://www.bromleybike.co.uk/ishop/399/shopscr1633.html i f**kin love chris king!!!
