Alex.loves.boys
hi guys im having thoughts of going back to a t-pro unforntunatly i sold mine (dum -ass) so i dont know weather to get one again or not.i feel like i want something longer i keep hitting my knees on my bars . at the moment im riding a t-lite what should i do? i can swap my frame for a t-pro frame and a xtr booster . thanks alex
JT!
The length of a frame won't change the fact that your hitting your knees on your bars. As there's only 8cm WB difference from the longest frame to the shortest frame. And don't forget that the chainstay length wont effect your knees hitting your bars. Try a different stem maby? Swize
Are you running a zoo stem ? If so change it. And try chaingeing ur body postion i mean i could ride Tics bike nicely and that pretti short and ime not really that short :S . Just stick at it
Alex.loves.boys
ok then thanks im still looking to get a longer frame though not just because of the knee hitting .
JT!
The WB on the t-pro and the t-lite are pritty much the same, but as you probably would have noticed, the t-pro has longer stays and a shorter front end. And the t-lite is visa-vera. So which one did you prefer?

mat hudson
try somthing with a little bit more rise. like a t master. Or, if your posh, the echo copy of the t master with "echo" written on it. and are they the flat bars or the risers?
Alex.loves.boys
i have the t-master stem its way too big for me. im only 5'2 its up to my tits.hehe if i got the zip ive bin told i could make it shorter is this true? mat hudson
it is true the dropouts are long and in theory should offer a shed load of adjustment. however, in practice the cnc'd shizzle just gets in the way. i would still say the bike rides well nice. Mark W
The length of a frame won't change the fact that your hitting your knees on your bars. Sure will? If the distance from centre BB -> centre top of headtube is greater, you should hit your knees less. For example with my Zona, it doesn't happen, but with the T-Pro it did. Same length stays, but 2" longer cockpit area...
Alex.loves.boys
ok thanks if i can pursade the parents and get the moeny together i MAY go for the zip.espcially since tarty are doing a good deal on em at the moment .free headset , bb fitted and echo brake mounts . i'll porbaly go for the burshed as its a tad lighter :S how much do you think i could get for my t-llite?its in mint condtion like 1 minitue scracth on the chain stay and only like 4-5 month old , only ridden max 10 rides. Alex.loves.boys
do you think that i could make the bike shorter by having rear rear wheel bolt right into the frame?

My knees hit my bars all the time, but i just see it as a good thing as it's easier to shove the bike forward.

Alex.loves.boys
ok then do you think a 1045 wheel base will be ok for me im like 5'2 , 5'
Swize
ok then do you think a 1045 wheel base will be ok for me im like 5'2 , 5'3 What is the WB of the t-lite ? Because not being harsh but the T-pro is a 1020 wb and the zip is a 1045, 15mm will make a diffrence and you will probblie say its to long ? ride one 1st and see. But if you liked to t-pro just buy one you no how it rides ect and you will save money. Sam Edited December 4, 2005 by samthebiker
Hobnobs
You will seriously struggle on a zip. Moving the wheel makes no difference to how it feels, just changes how it reacts. I dont see how you can be hitting your knees, changing your technique doesnt cost you anything, and obviously your doing something wrong to have you legs up by the bars. Vinco's have bb rise  If he moves the wheel, his feet and hands are in the same place are they not? Go for the pro.
Alex.loves.boys
Yeh thing is i dont really want to go back to the same frame as i had before. what else is there i've bi told ill get along fine with the zip yet your telling me i wont. im very lost
mat hudson
ye, but the front end will feel lighter if he moves the wheel forward  so he would be able to pull up easier. that would effect feeling and reaction.
