Phatmike
Hey guys. Finally, a new solution has been created to stop the worry of down tube dents, and also saves well over a pound on the weight of a standard frame. Enjoy! Dr. Nick Riviera
for xc yeah , for trials , goodbye face when the toptube schnaps good idea though i likes the idea of the pressurised one as well

downhill_rob2@hotmail.com
cool rims (Y) (Y) Is that a wire? or a steel rod? If it was a steel rod and it was VERY safe (the same as a normal frame) then id trust it. It would probably bend though lol
mr kenny
is that a sling shot? i remember them like 7/8 years ago rubbish then, probs rubbish now kenny

Mark W
Haha, ultra light frame, but I know, we'll make the fullbuild weigh the same as a modest house by using massive rims and massive cranks + bash... Good call (Y)
Shaun H
Haha, ultra light frame, but I know, we'll make the fullbuild weigh the same as a modest house by using massive rims and massive cranks + bash... Good call (Y) Rims = carbon (Y) Not sure about the bashguard though :)
mat hudson
oversized bars can be made lighter because they're bigger(thinner material). maybe this applies to the rims.use thinner material. or maybe theyre carbon? (Y)
Mark W
Rims = carbon (Y) Not sure about the bashguard though :P maybe theyre carbon? :) Maybe, eh Mat (Y) Still look f**king hideous though :P But I guess if you're willing to use that frame you wouldn't care :P
Dr. Nick Riviera
how come xc'ers have neer cottoned on to the drilled rims thing?
Shaun H
how come xc'ers have neer cottoned on to the drilled rims thing? Their rims aren't 40+mm wide? (Y)
Mark W
Plus they're light as chuff anyway? (Y) Less aerodynamic?
Shaun H
Plus they're light as chuff anyway? (Y) Less aerodynamic? Now you're thinking like a roadie... (Y) Plus just because it's light doesn't mean you can't drill them? I'm fairly sure they don't drill them because they don't require the massive width we do to stop tyre-roll etc so their rims are built as thin as possible meaning drilling will seriously f**k up the strength...I guess
Mark W
Nah, I meant they're going to be light-weight built. So they're not going to be double-walled stuff like that, meaning that they're gonna be a bit dodgy to drill, and then ride over rough ground... But yeah, aerodynamics are important to XCers, otherwise there'd be way less Veet sold (Y)
Brian Bleech
is that a sling shot? i remember them like 7/8 years ago rubbish then, probs rubbish now kenny ahhh yeah slingshots where ace (Y) well maybe not
ManxTrialSpaz
I'd have to kick that wire/rod before I trusted that bike, wouldn't want to miss a wall and destroy what is effectively your downtube (Y)
Mark W
Haha, can just imagine landing to downtoob, and then getting fired off it like an elastic band (Y) That'd be bitchin'. New type of abubaca, methinks (Y)
mat hudson
either that or it would collapse the tt because of the forces.
