right firstly NO JOKES , im sure we've all heard the team america song.

and no gay comments cause thats just crude.

just wondered what peoples views upon the problem were , because whilst devestating i find it quite interesting

that something so small can do such damage , and we cant do anything about it yet.

Not strictly speaking true :) We can do stuff about it, but they can't pay the pharmaceutical companies money to sort it out so they won't. Notice how in cases of AIDS in this country (or HIV), they can be treated and won't die super quickly or anything. However, in 3rd world countries they don't have our healthcare and are therefore f**ked.

Coupled to that there's no real information about it there, it means that it's hard to slow down the spread of it (for example, some tribes thought that sex with a virgin cured AIDS. Nice one :P).

Anyway, I see you wondered what the red ribbon was for on Google? B)

Its caled putting profit margins before humanity.

The government wont do anyting, they like to think there conning us into believing there doing something, but at the end of the day thengovernment is getting money from these companies.

So much for the democrate country we live in, bing back communsm or something like it.

You've changed your tune? You always used to say it was good 'cos it'd kill all the Africans before?

Theres many ways I look at things, under the current situation Africas problems will not be sorte dout by curing AIDS, there ar emore far reaching problems that all contribute to the African problem. From this point of view killing them all and starting again is the best thing to do, but it will never happen and was merely one of my ways of looking at solving the problem from a theorectical viewpoint.

I did a whole course on Southern Africa, covering literally everything I cant be bothered to go into, all I can say is the problem with Africa will never be solved its so big and embedded in too much politcal corrruption and personal objectives that it cant be solved, its one of those things.

The government want to look like their doing something but they know nothing can be done.

I waffling again and waffling towards convincing myself that wiping them out is the only way.

Anyway I hope you get my drift now.

Matey, I never denied you were a scholar on Southern Africa and that there's all that shit-biz you mention going on...

What I meant by 'He woke up' was that instead of constantly saying "ooh let's just kill them all" you realised it's an insane point of view and so wrote out something more down to earth.

That was all.

Its a very hard virus to find a cure for due to its very fast mutations and changes in the body but there are lots of drugs that can help slow down the virus. however they are very expensive. From working in a hospital pharmacy i know that a 90day prescription for the drugs comes to about £1500+. lukily for the people in this country the NHS pays for all GU medicines. But this is the reason why they are unfortunatly not avalible to alot of people in less fortunate countries (Y)

However i didnt know it was world aids day today until we were all given the red ribbons to wear at work today (Y)
