Mr Motivator
I've heard on here about if you turn your bike upside down and squeeze your hydro disk lever you let air in. Well I'm going to run my calliper upside down, will that affect it? Or is it just to do with the lever? I'm using a Juicy 7, not a hope/hayes. CurtisRider
it wont effect hayes or avid, infact they are designed to be run either side (look underneath your lever-its all printed with logos ready :))
JIX
Do you mean the lever upside down?
Mr Motivator
Nope, calliper. The calliper is going to be upside down on the driveside.
JIX
Oh ok. I think the bloke above was talking about the lever. I dont know really to be honest.
CurtisRider
oops sorry, i even read it was a calliper....its the morning and im tired :) i dont think it makes much difference-or any at all, the only reason you cant run normal levers upside down is cos of the resevoir, and as the callipers are just full of oil-i dont see why it should affect it? :)
nmt_oli
It will be fine. Its only levers with a resevoir that may hold air at the top, ie HOPE and some magura's. even then, the caliper has nothing to do with it.
Prawny Baby
i think your confused sam.... it doesnt need to be run upside down, it physically WONT work upside down.... unless you extend the fork leg below the axle and mount it down there..... think it through again boy. the only way it can run on the drive side is on the front of the leg, facing backwards! think it through again boy :)
CurtisRider
look at the new gt dh bike, the 1 with the gearbox, that runs the disc brake calliper on the other side (at rear though) may help you if im not confused what you are doing?
