Removing An Acs From Tensiles

Remove the lockring from the freewheel and take the freewheel apart.

You will be left with just the black threaded bit of the freewheel.

Using a vice give it some pasty to get this threaded bit off the crank arm.

Only use this method if you dont want to keep the freewheel, it would be a bitch putting it back together!

Alternatively go into your lbs and they will hopefully have a freewheel removal tool...

If you dont want the freewheel any more, take it all apart, leaving just the black big on the crank arm, now, if you have a angle grinder at your spar, grind a slot in the freewheel so that you can get a chisle in it and start to whck it the way t turn to come off, then it should eventually start to turn, then it will just screw off :'(

Mack sure you dont grind too far down so that you catch the threads on your crank though!

I assume that you have a freewheel removal tool.

Firstly remove the pedal from the crankarm. Then put the tool into a vice that is fixed to a table or something and won't move away. Put the crank crank onto the tool, so that the tool goes into the freewheel removal tabs. Then get a long bolt, a nut and some big washers. Put the bolt through the crankarm where bb usually is and bolt the freewheel tool to the crank arm.(Not too tight, just enough to make sure the freewheel tool won't 'skip' on the freewheel) Then take a long pipe(the longer the better) and put it over the crank arm to get more leverage and just screw the freewheel off. If you have got the freewheel loose a bit, , then take off the bolt that is holding the tool to the freewheel and just screw the freewheel off.

If you can't find a pipe to extend your crankarm then you can use anything that will fit onto the crank arm(I used a bmx frame once :'( Put the crank through the headtube.)
