Dan6061
Decided to take off both brakes to give them a fresh water bleed. Front went all smoothly, and blled felt perfect. Rear lever piston was stuck in the lever body. Managed to get it out, but it looks 'chewed' and fecked. I've tried oiling it, same thing happens, it just doesnt spring back at all. Pictures: Notice how it's not 'sticking out' like my over lever: Notice it? Here's a picture of the front of the lever with the stuck piston: Notice how 'chewed' it looks? 1) Will it still be alright to use? 2) Do I need a new piston? 3) Where can I get a new piston from if I need to (CRC don't have them seperate, only full levers) 4) If you have a spare one, how much? Cheers guys :P
nb88
Did it keep getting stuck after being bled, with a lever blade fitted? If so its probably worth putting up a for sale/wanted post for an entire lever, wont be much.
Lawnmowerman
Shove some grease on the o ring and put it back in. Then bleed it and pump it loads to wear it in
Dan6061
Should be able to get a new piston tomorrow. Mate's brother bought a new set of Magura's and has spares :) Will try oiling the O ring when I get home :P
