Ashley Smith
i think the best thing to do would be to ask phil from select.......... otherwise was there no assembly drawing included with the headset? cheers ash
totaltrials
Hey, ye there is no fork (hit it on) race, you have the headset with the bearings already in, a topcap and 2 bearing races, the silver race goes onto the forks it has a slot so you dont need to hit it on, the idea is when the headset is tight the taper will push up into the bearings keeping it tight on the forks. The same applies to the top part which is black, very simple easy to use design. Phil. Edited November 21, 2005 by totaltrials

MOSH
Yer this same with me although i just put mine on and it sits just above the bottom but is still very smooth. So the silver ring goes on the fork first ? If so do you put it upsidedown? Josh.

Like: | | | | /__\ <--- Bottom race bearing goes over that taper. Phil.
