alright there, in a few weeks i was thinking of getting myself a mini moto to mess about on, i was gonna use ebay but the trouble is-i dont know which ones are good? i dont really wanna spend a great deal, but i dont exactly want some wank that falls apart.....

wouldnt mind one that suitable for taking over a few little jumps cos it looks pretty fun <_<

so anyway, what have your experiences been with them? anything i should know?

cheers, paul

I think they look fun, but I wouldn't have thought any of them will withstand jumps, none of the ones I've seen will, although you can get mini scrambler ones.

If you want to do jumps on a motorbike, bset to get a small crosser or similar, much stronger, and probably faster.

Best ones to get IMO are the superbike replica ones, you can pick them up cheap on ebay (£100-200), and they are often upgradable with new filters, sprockets, leads, etc. Even nitrous kits. hey look like great fun in an empty car park or similar if there is one near you, especially if a couple of you get them.

A mate of mine is selling his. Hes a mechanic so its been looked after/bedded in properly etc. Its a black superbike styled one and its good for 35mph but feels waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay faster. They are alot of fun especially in car parks with lots of curb islands etc. Its in really good nick and has just had a new front wheel bearings and something else which i cant remmeber.

His name is Josh_trials on here but he doesnt use it much. Think he wants £110 plus postage or pickup

firstly ill make it clear, i will only use this on private land, i have a farm so i have plenty of space and lots of trails <_< i still have my lil scrambler and was half tempted to fix it, but i figured a change would be cool

the idea was to buy it mainy for when people come over, its always fun when we can get field cars, mopeds, go karts or whatever out and rag them around in the summer, and i kinda figured a mini moto(scrambler cos a road one would be useless where i live) would be a nice addition (im not a spoilt tosser-ive bought all this stuff myself)

anyway in way are they shit? mechanically are they robust enough? can you upgrade certain models?

cheers, paul

Well to be onist with you mate, mini motos are not crap its just the way people look after them, Yes you can get crap mini motos but you can also get cheap ok mini motos, as long as you run it in properly and put thread tight on the nuts and all the stuff that rattles loose they are good fun, As long as you run it in properly it will go pretty fast.

But if you want to do jumps and go on a field your best bet is a x-sport bike they are 110cc and have 4 gears, They are used for dirt jump the lot they are built to last, On ebay search for a thumpster .

To be fair.....mini motos are wank.

I've had a go on a mates and it was humm ok, handle like a boat and break allll the time.

Another mates got a scramabler style one and thats broken al the time too and hes not exactly the sorta person who dosent look after stuff. Bits fall off the exhaust, the plasctics crack etc etc, there just generally rubbish.

If your gonna get one you may as well get a proper blata one, racing style for like near a grand, ones for £200 are just not worth it.

Put the money towards a proper bike.

:P

Xsports and Thumpstars are not the best you know... There are some 'Copies' out there that are really really good, Honda engines, 4 stroke are very reliable too that they sometimes use in copies. If you want a cheap 'Copy' get a "Hellfire"

But if you want a REAL bike get a Honda CRF250, if you don't want to spend lots of money on one of those, arrange for a thief to get you one, I'm sure he would like 500 pound in his pocket for one nights work :P

Mini motos and the 110 Pit bikes are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!

These are mini motos: These

These are 110 Pit bikes: These

The only thing 'simler' is that they're small, but the Pit bikes are bigger than Mini Moto's, but at least the Pit bikes are actually 'Rideable'
