I aint gonna reccomend any actual components, but I will say that after a few years of using stiffer 31.8mm clamp, I am wanting to go smaller, I miss the extra flex it gives, makes the bike rider a bit livlier I recken.

just somthing you might wanna consider?

zoo bars are just fantastic such a nice bar and they give plenty enough flex more than any normal sized bar ive had in the past, plus they will last, has anyone actually broken a set yet?

ive allways found the echo stems up to the job aswell cant go wrong with the set up youve chose.

How much does changing your bar and stem affect you and your riding ?

Lots. It's the easiest thing to change that will totally transform the way the bike rides. But it might make a difference for the better, or worse. But yeah of course you will get used to it. What are you running at the moment?

Depends what you ride really. If you ride mainly spinny streety stuff, get some nice high risers (2.5" is nice) and a short-ish stem. If you want to ride more trialsy/natural I would probably go with some trials-specific bars like the Onza or Zoo bars, although I've always found them a bit too wide. It's probably nothing you wouldn't get used to though. I never really liked the Try-all bars, they always seemed wrong to me. Too wide, too flat (upsweep/backsweep makes bars more comfortable IMO), and they just broke easily. Monty bars are quite nice - very strong, nice feel and not too wide. But you may like the wider bars, it's minaly a preference thing.

The echo and zoo set-up looks and sound good, but if you are switching from a high rise then be careful because the front end will feel very low, if you're worried I'd go for an echo hifi (higher rise for lower-front-end frames)

Hope this helps, Nathan
