Anything interesting, I would like to see this thread to be just a brief summary of the game, what you think, a link and prices. I don't want loads of posts I have to read through that say "Yeah this game is good." or "No this game sucks." Olly C Posted November 20, 2005 Report Share Posted November 20, 2005 I've got Guild Wars, free to play, really nice graphics in comparison to WoW. Got myself a lvl 20 Necro/Elementist. I've played FFXI Online, its mint, but I found it very hard to get into and play without friends or people you know playing with you, I may be starting playing that again sometime after xmas as two friends of mine wouldn't mind playing it again and the other trying it out so I'll give you a shout if I do. I really enjoy cooperating with people I've never met to achieve strategic objectives . Interestingly , despite being themed on warfare and involving furious fire-fights , there's always a really friendly vibe between players . I'd be interested if anyone else here plays it , if so I'm called Denethor , and can be found splattered across the walls on the Krynn and B.A.D servers . Rejected many invitations to join clans , and tend to choose supporting roles ie: Medic , Engineer . Don't bother with Enemy Territory , it's RTCW's poorer cousin . I'm devoting increasingly much time to the game , I actually found myself watching a war film and thinking : L337 ! Especially when you were at one point forced to phone up to cancel your account. I've played RTCW Endo a long time ago, and I'm trying to find something that isn't FPS as I've played them solely for the last 3ish years. Big no to Guild Wars, don't like they worded things, no monthly fees, but you do have to pay for our "Updates" which is what monthly fees usually cover. The expansions will have to be paid for but theres been loads of places, people and GUI changes since I first started playing all for free.. On FFXI the little guys make sweet mages and stuff, there pretty neat characters as long as you dont try and kit one out as a hardcore warrior :) Do you have a PS2? In a completely non geeky style though, under no circumstances is anyone going to even hint about uploading levels to servers or creating specific servers or say things like ha your toast just landed butter side down!
