to add to the long list of cheapscates.

I would be very intrested in trying some of the grind compound, as atm im running plaz on a grind and am impressed, and to be honest im not one of the lightest riders on this forum, weighing in about about 14 sotne 11-15 stone 7 (dependant on scales lol) so due to this my brake is more crusial then others (im sure adam, bigman, would back me up on that)

If you are willing to send me some pads just pm me captain :P

Oh yeah....

PLEAAAAAASEEEE :S

well..i have been the proud owner of a pair of your alu v-brake backings ever since they were first released (i think i got one of the first pairs). I still run exactly the same brake today (front avid arch rival, xtr lever), with the same white heatsink pads. I've got about nearly 4mm of pad material left in each backing (how much was there?) which is crazy when i think how long i've had them (probably because i use my front brake on or off- i don't modulate it very much). They've been run on a smooth mavic F519 (never ground) as a front brake all that time. Before the 'sink pads, I used two pairs of Rim wrangler II pads, red koolstops, salmon koolstops, PX sticky's, and some xtreme "mountain" pads (multi compound). The brake has always been pretty good ('sink pads), and a little tar (if needed) will last a long time (few days...). They were most affected by dusty situations (second was wet weather), in dry competition environments. Due to recent bike trouble, i've had to start running a rear v-brake also (don't have suitable magura mounts..). This will be until Dec 25th when i get my new frame...I am currently using RW II pads on avid SD5 arms, with matching SD5 lever. I have been using a DX32 rim with a dead grind, but have just purchased a try-all rear wheel. Therefore, I can test the compound front and rear on v-brakes, on a total of 3 different rims.

I ride street and natural (on average 8-9 hours a week, which might not sound much, but come Dec16th and the Christmas hols- i'll be riding alot more) , and compete at expert level (red) at EBTC comps. Competition/natural is by far the biggest test for my pads....Oh, and I can glue my own pad material in. Like steve said above (steve-o), he only lives next door and uses the complete opposite to me: F+R HS33s. Could make it easier to put a review together if someone else is also testing the same material with you....

Sorry about the essay :S

pick me because....

- i am a nobody, so maybe people will listen to my review more.

- being based in Guernsey in the channel islands, and at the mo in portsmouth for uni, i could test the pads mixed with sea water, sand, and seaweed easily

- i dont use a grind

- i do a lot of manuals and general streety riding - none of this uber long bike stuff

- i have bmx buddies that could test it

- i use lynx deodorant

- i take lots of photos, so could illustrate my review amazingly

- i am doing art at uni, so i have millions of spare time to review and ride

- i have never paid for a set of heatsinks, and this could change my mind

- i have just watched new world disorder 6 and think its amazing!!

- i do every type of mountain biking to death, including XC, which may suggest i have great stamina and therefore might ride for longer each day

- i have run out of original ideas of why to pick me

:S
