CurtisRider
firstly they arent exactly ideal with just a 160 rotor size and all......and for the price an avid is a better option secondly the rotor-is your hub a 6 bolt or shimano spline hub? gotta make sure it comes with the correct rotor fitting thirdly avid rock and for cable brakes, you shouldnt be thinking of buying anything else (Y)

AND how much time does it take that the new disc with new pads starts to brake correctly, i think that the pads need some adaptation, while they are completely new they dont brake so good, am i true?? CurtisRider
i was merely pointing it out to you dude........some people forget about compatibility issues that arise with shimano products personally i wouldnt bother with a deore, and just save for a avid, discount or no discount-i doubt you will be as happy with a deore as you would an avid however, you can upgrade the deores to bigger sizes-i suggest about a 180mm rotor+adaptor, and/or some ebc red pads to increase power from my experiences with both the hydro and cable versions of the deore brakes, i would say the avid pisses over them and just save (Y) or run a decent v brake which will also piss over it and quite likely be the same price/cheaper
