Knee/shin Pads

Concussion

Recommended Posts

This week while trying `rockwalks`, I decided to knee my stem leaving me to hobble about for three days in pain (Y), and then today while trackstanding in my house, BOOM, pedal spin to tears!

I think I'd rarther get kicked in the nads than let this happen again, so what KNEE/shin pads, or combo do you recommend for trials.

They must be: comfortable, non-restricting, easy to put on etc. I tried some dainese knee/shin pads....NOT THESE...felt like sandpaper and slipped constantly.

Any advise?? (Y)

i have tried 661 race lights, 661 4x4 (my old free ride gear) hard knocks some other light 661 pads i forget the name of, and they are all rubbish in the face of the 661 veggie shin -

these pads are so comfortable i sometimes forget to take them of then wonder why i am still wearing them in the pub or when i go to bed,

i even once got frisky with my girlfriend without remembering i had them on - and felt like a tit standing there naked apart from shin-pads

plus they are slim fit so will go unnoticeably under any trousers and offer loads of protection.

i think i've got veggies - ive got 661 shin/knee combo things anyway

they get a bit hot but they've stopped everything my pedals can throw at me so far and they've stopped me getting pebbles lodged in my kneecaps on several occasions. They didnt cost much - i think i got them in halfords but cant quite remember.

in all, pretty good shinpads
