PaRtZ
Will the hope M4 200mm rotor work on my avid BB7 203mm? I ask this because I'm thinking of getting a custom rotor for my avid but as Avid don't do them I will have to use a custom M4 disc Thanks
chrishayton
just ring hope, they will make you what ever you want for around 30 quid :D
guineasmithpig
as he said ^^^ ask hope to make u a 203mm rotor with 'I have the most beasty brake in the world' machined round the brake surface, and roberts ur dads brother. on the subject of big brakes, anyone looked into whether anythin bigger than 8in is impractical for trials? (and no penis puns, thanks very much!) not that it needs anymore power, just wondering how bonkers a 10in rotor would look! hehe. would it still work, or do u start adding more flex and masses of weight for no performance gain at that sort of size? smithy
Dan Clark
You could run a Koxx fork with a 230mm disc, and I know Hope make that size....
cp101
I think it will be fine. Avid brakes work on washers and spacers, just play with that.
Tomm
I think it will be fine. Avid brakes work on washers and spacers, just play with that. There is no forward/backward movement in the caliper though. You might just be able to get away with a 200mm disc anyway, because it would only be 1.5mm out at the caliper. But why not just get the proper size eh?
