nb88
Anyone know the length of echo urban forks? and what do you all think of them? I'm thinking of swapping my fatty R forks for my mates basically unused echo urban forks, and a tenner. Let me know what you think (Y) cheers. Janson
They're OK. A bit flexy, and mine developed an annoying creak.
Dan-Walker
why do you want to swap ?
nb88
I'm thinking they might be longer and will suit my echo control bike more.I have to use loads of headset spacers at the moment as the fattys are pretty short. Matt Burrows
They're the strongest forks I've used. They are a bit flexy and they do seem to creak strangely. But considering the weight they can take a lot, mine lasted just over 6 months before snapping on the steerer. Not sure if the Hi-Fi's have a thicker steerer or are any stronger, supposed to be stiffer though.
Haz
410mm long I think, they are good enough for me, seem sound. Go for it.
jamesb
They are 400mm long, mine snapped after 6 months too. The feel nice though.
Tomm
Stick with the Fattys. Urbans are OK and everything, but mine developed a bit of a creak and Fattys are just so solid. I certainly wouldn't pay for the Urbans over Fattys anyway.
nb88
Damn i always thought urbans were longer than fattys :D . I love my fattys and how stiff and well made they are, but my bike just feels......wrong. its really hard to lift the front up. Probably just because its long i guess (about 1090 wheelbase). Sticking with my fattys it is
Ali C
change tha bar and/or stem for somthing higher, would go over what you would pay for the urbans, but will have a better effect than longer forks
