Siders77
I got an RB lever but wasn't told that it was leaking ( (Y) ) so I need to change the seals for a temporary fix until I find a broken Magura body so I can use the piston in my RB lever.... So can anyone tall me how to change the seals please? Thanks. (Y) EDIT: Another quick question too... When I go back to bleeding the brake is it just the same as a normal Magura or do I have to do something different? Also if I couldn't find an old lever body and I polished the cylinder how long would tht last? Thanks. Lee. nb88
Bleed the rb in exactly the same way as a normal lever :shifty: Have you got spare seals? If not, i think heatsink still sells them, or if not, ive got about 15 in my garage. To change them - Take the master cylinder apart by putting a small allen key through the bleed hole. This will pop the piston out (white thing with 2 black seals). Get the old seals off by using a small but not sharp object... i used a ballpoint pen. Get them off, replace em, sorted. Can be a bit tricky, try to 'roll' the new seals on from the sloped side. And i dont think magura pistons will fit in rb lever bodys.....the whole point in an RB is the smaller piston, so its more powerful. Siders77
Cheers Noz. I do have some spare seals yeah. I know the Magura piston wont fit yet but hopefully I'm having Edd Potts bore it out so I can fit a Magura piston in. Lee.

Might aswell just put the rb lever blade in a magura body then though? and you wont get any leaking problems at all
Siders77
Isn't it just going to be the same as boring out the RB?
nb88
Yeah but would be easier? Up to you anyways, will have the same effect :shifty: . I suppose boring out the rb will be better as the rb lever sometimes clips the sides on hs33 bodys
Mark W
You've gotta take the ball bearing out of the RB to bleed it, don't forget. Don't lose it either, or you'll be annoyed (Y) Maybe the seller assumed you'd just guess it was gonna be leaking. It is an RB ;) RB blade -> Magura body raped my Magura body :shifty:

Siders77
Where is the BB supposed to be? I took my lever apart realier and couldn't see one. (Y) Maybe the seller assumed you'd just guess it was gonna be leaking. It is an RB ;) Yeah but the thing is that he told me it wasn't leaking. :shifty:
Mark W
The BB is a single, tiddly tiny BB that sits behind the bleed-hole-covering grub screw, and supposedly helps prevent leaking from there. Although, personally, I'd rather RB had made a lever that didn't piss out the other end. C'est la vie :shifty:
