Mat Smith! It's so easy to pedal and I have to try twice as hard to pedal kick than I do with 18 ont' front (Y) Mat
Mark W
Erm, 18:12 is what 99% of all mod riders run, pretty much. With 170mm cranks, it really shouldn't feel too heavy... Are you riding a CLS Python by any chance? I know your name's "Echo Joe", but still. Either way, yeah, just try getting used to it. Just build up some muscle (Y) You could try 18:13 I guess, but like I said - 18:12, 'spesh with 170mm cranks, shouldn't feel 'heavy'. Dai the Socket
I run 18:13 on my Python, as Mark suspected, they're so long and the Geo just makes 13T on the rear, with short(er) cranks feel better. If you've got 170mm cranks, you can run 12T really. My mate had an XTP and he ran 18:13 for a bit but then changed back to 12T cos he got longer cranks I think. If you're quite a small person and it just feels so heavy, like mine did, try a 13T rear (Y) Or even better, new cranks (Y)
smelly joe
I run 18:12 with 160 mm cranks and i find this just the perfect set up for my mod, its not overly easy but at the same time is not hard at all.
PaRtZ
18:12 tensiles think they 175mm Feels ace I went from 160mm and found them quite poo. I can static gap further with 175mm cranks now cos I have more leverage (i think thats the reason anway)

monkey gav
i use 175mm tensiles on my zona zip with 18/12 but my brother uses 22/16 and the gear is not too "loose"saying that, his cranks are only 160 mm so that could have something to do with it. hope this helps Gavyn
