nb88
Alright y'all...got my hope trial disc today and it all works fine, plenty powerful :turned: however, the levers a bit more flexy than all the other hope discs ive had (mono mini, m4...). Is this usual or does it need a rebleed? Its not annoying flex but if theres air in the system i want it out :P Cheers. Oh and my pads are set up square and my disc mounts are faced properly, theres no rub or anything. AdamR28
They do feel a little more 'mushy' than normal discs, simply due to the extra leverage (it makes the calipers flex/pads squash). Once the brakes been used a bit though, it firms up nicely, and you dont notice any more flex than any other brake when riding (thats if the brake is brand new - the pads compress a little as theyre wearing in). My advice: leave it!
Prawny Baby
its not a new brake adam, its your old one! glad your liking it noz, i found the levers are generally a little bit more flexy on trials than other hopes.... due to the piston sizes i THINK, as the master is smaller in relation the the slaves, because the calliper has bigger pistons! dont hold me to that though (Y) once its bed in and working nicely you dont notice the extra flex when riding
