PaRtZ
OK I have my new bearings and they are the right size but when I put them in, I found they didn't go in. To my horror the OUTER part of the bearing (which contacts the driver, not the axle) was still stuck inside while the other bit (bearings, and inner part) had all fallen away. Heres a diagram to help hopefully Any ideas how to get the outer bit out? thanks
James_Porter
you wanna rub some jiz around the stuck bit to lub it up, that will make it loose enough to use your willy as a sort of crow bar to crank it out... good luck... SQuiT-man
Hmmm, technical advice from the proffessionals at both Selectbikes and Tartybikes. Id go for the sledge hammer and screwdriver, and smack it CAREFULLY, with the combined useage of the odd slither of crusty jizz lube. Hope it helps, Regards, Scott Edited November 10, 2005 by SQuiT-man

aaron_trials _247
if this doesnt work heat up the outer part (where the old bearing is stuck in and then hit it with a hammer (Y) DAN
nb88
I had exactly the same problem when i got one second hand, except all the outer bearings were in there (Y) . Was easy, just used a screwdriver and hammer, no problem. Just tap it carefull all round the side, with the driver sat on top of a vice, so that the bearing outer can go through the inside of the vice, if you see what i mean. Olly C
Yea same thing happened to me, except I pulled the insides out of all 4 of my bearings so I had 4 stuck outer shells in there (Y) I levered them all out with a screwdriver. If I remeber correctly though theres a piece of metal inside the middle so you cant knock them all the way through, you have to pull two out of one side and two out of the other. Yep  i remember spending about 20 minutes trying to knock them all out at once...to find theres a lip on the inside (Y) . As hes onloy removing 1 bearing he doesnt need to worry anyway
