Mod And Stock Riders

Id say the equation should be something like:

Fear =

(26inch /19 inch)^2 x (Distance) x (Distance of stem from nearest testicle (incase you bail)) x (TF Height of rail)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Years riding)^2 x (number of rail gaps already successfully done- (number of rail gaps previously bailed x extent of injuries already incurred))^2

(thats menna be a fraction by the way, the dotted lines across the screen)

haha

i like all the equations of how to work out thats kool.

i rekon it might depend on how many monkey years old we are if it goes off all the above. haha.

there is no difference in my opinion if i gave someone a mod and they were going from stock it would take them a few goes to get the hang of it but it would feel the same.its just your all thinking things are harder/easier instead of trying it. if you dont try you dont get. if you have the will power there you will get it, trials is about determination and mind games. all the above is all talk and no action if you ask me. iv been there done it and it doesnt feel any different thats how i view it. how many others have done that???

I've had about 19 or so trials frames, 6 of those being mod.

I switched to riding mod full time at the end of last season just for something different. And I personally found mod was a lot harder to ride than stock. You need so much more precision on a mod. Take off and landings need to be a lot more controlled with the small wheels. For big moves I find stock is generally a lot better. My highest sidehop is still on my heavy Megamo Equip or my old Zoo Boa. I tied that sidehop on the mod this year but I did the same sidehop on my stock bikes over 2 years ago. I just generally like the feel of riding a mod. You need more precision and you definitely can't roll over anything but they just have a fun feel to them.

I really just like switching bikes constantly to keep myself motivated to ride.

I used to ride stock but switched to mod because i got fed up with snapping my mechs!

As far as i'm concerned the only thing i can't do on a mod are x-ups, because of my long stem and wide bars!

Mod and Stock are both different certainly, and different people prefer each of them, but neither one is better than the other.

I went from a monty (which hurt my back like a bast) to a python, which i had for about 6 months or so........then i decided to sell up and managed to get a 2nd hand stock pretty cheap.

As soon as i got it it felt a lot better than my python to be honest...i feel like you can really power it and the bike wont feel sketchy. On my python i felt and looked really really sketchy all the time, and landed moves pretty heavily........i prefer stock LOOOOOOOADS more. Although my static ups were a lot better on my mod, but stocks still more fun (Y) . I loved my monty, except my back hurt for months after riding it.

i went form mod to stock and i prefer it without a doubt......... mods fell really twitchy so great fun to throw about...but i have now had a t-rex and on a vinco and i can throw them around more despite my height (5ft 8") i can easily spin, tap, bunnyhop everything i used to on mod just find it easier now due to it feeling more controlled

and as for the whole rail debate there is no difference how can there be? it all comes down to THE RIDER not the bike i'm sure if someone jumped on there mums bike got used to it they could do it with confidence required!

at the end of the day its like when people say "your brake feels shit" all you have to say is personal preference everyone is different there is NOT standard trials rider ANYWHERE
