billpachino
they have already done this on the new specialized p1 the new crap one with a 24" back wheel n a 26" front, its also a stupid idea because it means the front slips out when u pull the brake to hard
ian
Yep its possible your can get a monty hose splitter me thinks but its not going to work because for example maguras and disks you want different fluids of course. buts it means that the same ammount of fluid displacment is resulted in two brakes so the distance that your brakes will move is in theory halved and for each side quartered! instead of halved, its to do with ratio's of the lever and many other factors, its like the kid who had a front free wheel and a back so in theory it was 72 time 72 but still felt shit and spongey i dont think it would effectivly work im sure i said about that to you on way to school in pretty much them words aswell lol meh oh well

Chris Walls
I ride with 1 handedluke and having the one lever to both brakes seems to work alright with him. He's quite a good rider to, and he never gives up when he can't do something RESPECT!!!!!!! :D . Heres a pic of his bike and him riding: ]www.imageshack.com ]www.imageshack.com
1handedluke
Yep thats me hehe :D I found the best way is to just attach one hose to the bleed hole on the lever and just use the normal hole aswell. But for anyone thinking of doing it whos got 2 normal hands, I wouldn't, you have to make sure that each pad is almost set up perfectly, wheel always has to be true and there can be no air in the system at all. Luke PS: i'm also looking for a Hs33 05 lever if anyone has got 1 i could buy.
Boothy
Kind of on the mention of screwing around with brakes, i had an idea about playing with a magura so you dont have the wierd cylinder setup (excuse the terms here, i'm a bit of a cocknose with this lol) but you know how on the brake the cable feeds to one cylinder, then to the other one? and you get a slight delay from one pad? well why not just have piping that forks out in a Y shape so you get an even output? Surelt magura have thought of doing that? They have, a monty hose splitter, although it doesn't improve your brake much, just means you don't need the crossover cable, which is one less cable to split, and is the most commonly split cable due to crankspins and stuff. Wright Pads
Charlie CTT had it when we went to the DJ Funeral. Left hand leaver ran both front and rear. Rear was like the normal std setup, runinng off a sleave nut and olive were the front was a barber fititng. Had to bleed it from one slave to the leaver, did it with out the front line in then once the rear was aire free fitted the front in and bled that. Requried a very big suringe and i think we got some very odd looks at Did Cote parkway Trian Station. Was a filping cool i tell thei. I had a go but it wasn't easy to use. ShiroKage
i been thinkin this recently, what if u scrap the idea of 2 rim brakes for one wheel and had one lever for a disc and a hydro on the rear.... It would be well fiddly to set up the pads but my thinkin is that the maggie would take the stress out of the mount on the back and the power would be phenomenal. mind you the weight would be too...
