chrishayton
hey, right basically i got 2nd hand hope trial and its got a sticky piston(maybe my fault as the piston pumped out. anyway its the cylinder on the left as you would ride, and it doesnt move, unless you prevent the other1 moving, therefore the brake rubs constantly, some help please people, Chris
Siders77
Spray some silicone based lube on the piston. (Y) I think it's silicone based anyway. *Waits for Adam to correct me!* :(

matthewholdsworth
because the pistons move so little in the brake they build up a little dirt, brake should work fine after you clean it. take ur pads out place flat blade screw driver (or similar) holding one piston in and press lever in (may help if u turn bike upside down and then use ur foot on lever - thats what i did) clean the piston that moves out with a rag or something then put some silicon lube on it repeat for other piston i didnt use silicon lube, cleaning piston sorted mine out. pump lever to regain feel hope this helps (no pun intended)
