bridgyisgay
yeah i would als say the base. both are resonably heavy bikes but judging on a mate of mines past experience with mad frames i would deff say the base >_<
stock trials the real sport
im not sure because im not going to be doing overly extreme stuf like massive drops i think it should suit me as im only a beginner and the base is a little short at the rear
bridgyisgay
yeah my mate managed to snap his '04 mad when he started out, but then he did do a static gap to chain stay >_<

Urpedigreechumdog
I'd wait a little while for the 06 mad frame to come out, it sounds awesome for £150.

BASETA26ER
well i think i can answer your question.. as i have had a base ta26 05 and a friend of mine had the mad team. i rate the base good for street i would also say it was light. easy to manual, do spins ect. basically it was a ace all round bike but as with the mad its ok but the bb is fairly low. it seems heavy but just really is no way near as good as the base.. hope this helps.. >_<
Hoot
Hey. What year is the Saracen M-a-d Frame. Most likely i would say the base though..As there basicly Bomb proof! >_< Chears. CurtisRider
base............i feckin miss mine, wish id never sold it :) they are 1 of the best frames out in my mind in terms of geo-i simply loved it :P the mads however..........no experience on the new ones, the old 1s were gash, but saracen seem to be sorting themselves out nowadays :P i want a steel base :P

About it it rides well nice and bolloks it cheese i have gone to frame so many times and it hasnt dented at all have crashed millions of times and planted it full force on frame and it has no structural damage at all people get bad impressions from the 2004 one though
