tom tom
i was at a party last night and some basterd put my bike in the pond, and loads of people were on it!! i am so pissed off at this as now my rear hub is continuously skipping and it makes a weird noise so i decided not to ride it home but how f**king annoying is that. tom tom sorry but none of my friends really care but i spent my money on the hope so i do. Thom
why did you ride an expensive trials bike to a party ? you should just get an old granny bike if you want to ride to partys.
Jules
Thats harsh, but i wouldnt leave an expensive bike lying around at a party. You should think about getting a cheap bmx, or a cheap mountain bike just to get places on.
am4zin
or if you want to add a bit more style, i reckon you should get one of those real old (beach?) cruisers, like those schwinns; 'cos then you've got an old-granny style bike but with loads more class! thats pretty harsh about you're bike though, its annoying when tw*ts turn up at house partys and just wanna cause hassle; with you're hope hub can't you take it apart, clean and re-grease it? dan
Ash-Kennard
Sorry tom but it serves you right.
ManxTrialSpaz
Sorry tom but it serves you right. Bit harsh isn't it? It's not his fault if he can't even take his bike to parties without some idiot throwing it in a pond. Unlucky mate. Find out who did it and visit their house(s) with a can of paint thinner. nmt_oli
thats a bit bad-but that kinda stuff tends to happen at parties if your not careful. make sure everything got dried off, give the bike a proper wash if nessesary. get some wd40/gt85 out and give everything a good squirt to stop it rusting and get rid of any left over water. for your hub, take off the cassette, and remove QR skewer. pull off the bit that grips to the drop out that sits nicely in the freehub. now very carefully and slowly pull the freehub away from the hub, while turning counter clockwise. as soon as you see the pawls, get you fingers around them as well as holding onto the freehub (hard to expain, but its possible!) and pull the freehub off, and the pawls wont fly everywhere as you have hold of them. now clean, degrease and reasemble with a bit of grease in the pawl carrier, and either a smeer of grease or some finish line lube around the ratchet in the hub. Should work better than new now!

lankyri
indeed simp hope hubs are quality hope its self are great, you muck up a product of theres and you can send it back to them and they will sort it out i would prefer a hope xc to a chris king, king goes bang every five minutes and hope dont (if you look after them (Y) ) and dont say o its got more engagements it dont mean a thing ok it does help but when i had my onza hub i out beat ian on gapping on his bulb (which is now mine) and he was wheeliehoppin and i did static so dont diss hope they quality, and they hope pro 2 looks quality and good price but id prefer a xc
Martin
send your hub back to hope they've got great service, every one thats saying it served him right should chill out, its not his fault, you should be able to take your bike to a party and not have to worry about it getting damaged.
