Ok so my qeustion is, Do you guy's find it stupidly hard to set up the brakes perfect on this frame? Everytime i try to do this one side rub's and the other is far away so i look at it and think to myself my wheel must be in wonky. I go about putting it right and then its fine for a while then just goes shite again anyone with the same problem? I have the calipers pushed into the mounts as far as they will go also..... im running a king hub and echo snail cam's if this makes any difference?

Nick.

My rear brake is hardly ever adjusted on my Python, I guess its really your wheelbuild that's bad, Python's have tons of CNC'ing everywhere, so I highly doubt a chainstay or seatstay would bend like that. And, by centering the rear wheel on the frame, you aim for the *perfect* fit between the seatstays, so jam your fingers in and try to get the rear wheel perfectly straight with the frame, NOT a booster for example.

If that's not gonna work, then I'd consider a re-build, get new spokes, get it built very well, totally true and all, then it should work. It's more a case of your rear wheel being the problem than the Python frame.

Oh yeah, I used to have a problem with chain tugs, the rear wheel always moved to one side after a bit of riding. Was royally gay. Then I got a Python, snail cams, and I never had to suffer from this anymore. Is this an 04 Python with chain tugs you're using? If so, get Viz snail cams or any smooth snail cams similar, not toothed snail cams.

Otherwise it may be worth re-perfecting the rear wheel. (Y)

Has your piston got loads of crap in it? Mine did that for a few weeks until I found out that my piston was sticking...I sorted it out and my brake was fine. (Y)

Oh yeah that reminds me, try and have no, or very little TPA on, (so that the pads pull right back to the magura) that helps alot.

Might be just a shit brake, I ride a pitbull and I can never get mine set-up good, I find it easiest just to put something to space the pad away from the rim and do up the mounts... That way they are set up but they normally move back :D (Y)

Iii we shall see im gonna have a wank about tomorrow see if i can get it all sorted and i do run the smooth echo snail cam's too its jst bit of a tit to set up right. I did have a look at the mounts to make sure there in the right place but they seem fine. Perhaps it's just the bolts on the hub? Do you advise i run the snail cam's on the outside of the dropouts or the inside?

Thanks for help,

Nick.
