STEVE-0
(Y) I just relised today after doing some front hops that a heard a crack and a give in my forks. They have cracked about 1/2 way round the left hand leg, just above the brake mounts. They are 2 years old so they have done remarkably to last this long seeing as im quite a harsh rider, bumping, front hopping, big drops and trying to hook. :- What i can do: I can either get some new tuf guys for £20 (which are quite heavy) Buy some other magura compatible onza forks with a £20 discount Or go for something completely different My first thoughts are to get either the Fly, Smart or Wise Guy forks from onza which would be about £70 or £80 What shall i do guys??? Cheers, Steve :) Edited November 5, 2005 by STEVE-
Onza Kieron
Dont buy Lite Guys, dont buy onza, they will just die again, mine just have. I got some pace forks today and they are much nicer, more stiff and more confidence inspiring. Just dont buy onza, perhaps some zoo/echo forks from Tarty? KIeron (Y) Why what have you got against Onza? Just because you bought lite guys forks which are pretty much garenteded to brake, you think they will all die. I love my tuf guys but want a change! Pashleys? They have a v-brake mount and are no better than tuff guys for £20 more! onza tuff guys are some of my fave forks, save your money and get another set :) I dont find them too heavy, didnt notice between them and fattys They are my fav forks as well but ive never had anything else so i think ill get some smart guys because the fly and wise guys seem pretty unreviewed at the moment and i think the smart guys will look good anyway. I will lose about 300g as well which is a great help cause my beafy t-rex needs lighting some what! Cheers for the replies Steve

You have kinda pushed me towards some new tuf guys now... Why would i like them??? (Y)

Just because you bought lite guys forks which are pretty much garenteded to brake, you think they will all die. I love my tuf guys but want a change! Mine snapped, loads on here have snapped and my mate has snapped 2 pairs of tuff guys, how many echo forks, zoo forks koxx forks have snapped, not as many. If you want to not spend much on forks but keep renewing them buy tuff guys, if you want some forks to last for a decent amount of time, dont buy onza. I don't have anything against the brand, just their forks are shit. I chose to buy a T-rex and i strongly recommend it, just not onza forks. :D Kieron (Y)
Rob_P
My lite guys cracked above the brake mounts on both sides, same place as yours. Onza forks are rubbish, get something else that will last. Everyone I know that has had either tuf guys or lite guys has killed them without trying anything overly large. Get some BT forks Rob (Y)

Bionic Balls
holy cow steve! you fat cow... the BT's and kot forks sound the best for the money...or tuf guys for £20 is a bargain.. adam
Rob_P
aren't the BT forks just Echo Pure forks with paint? Yes pretty much, except they've got a thicker steerer tube and are only £60 Yeh you could spend £20 for some tuff guys but thats 20 squid you could put towards some better forks which will last longer in the long run instead of some muff guys breaking shortly. JIX
Why would i like them??? Well I seem to break forks quite regularly so its probally not their fault they are cracked. They are really nice and stiff so I like the ride of them. They will last you alot longer than they last me I would imagine so I think you would get on well with them. If you decided to go against more onza's then I cant help really, the only forks I have never broken was my handsome dog silver bmx style ones, if they had a disc mount I would still be running them.
