.asf Windows Movie Maker Codecs.

Hi i boutgh a mini dv cam a few days ago for a chaep price as I'm only using it for trials-videos ect. nothing too spectacular. Anyway the video saves to .ASF format and when I try to put it onto windows movie maker this box comes up:

So i do what it says and then this comes up:

So basically i was wondering if any of you knew of any codecs to make it work on movie maker or any other ways of making it work. Different editor maybe?

I'm not sure if thats the answer, but since I downloaded and installed the gordianknot codec pack I've never had a single problem with any kind of codecs, ever. It supports pretty much everything as far as I know.

Maybe worth giving a try? If not, at the very least, you'll be covered for downloading codec'd porn movies (Y)

I got it and it seems to work for pretty much everything except what i wanted it for. Thanks anyway (Y)

if the camera is saving files in asf, it certainly isnt a mini DV camera... Unless it has a firewire(ilink) port, use that instead!
