pogonation
I think ben slinger was in the junior class because he was under 18 :-
nafan
Yeah you get expert riders of different ages.... Don't be embarrassed about what you asked though dude, learning all the time :- B)
TrashZen
Yeah you get expert riders of different ages.... Don't be embarrassed about what you asked though dude, learning all the time :) :- That's why you've got dozens of world champions at any one time (20", 26", BUI and UCI rules, under 15, under 18, expert or master etc... that makes loads of combinations) (Y)
Stan Shaw
Ben is Junior UCI World Champ for 20/26" Vincent and Benito are in Elite. I think if your 19 and over you have to ride Elite, bearing in mind thats only for UCI.

I was going to say stan, just watched you "placbo" vid, and i think your better than him on 26", but dont get me wrong, ben is still pretty fooking awsome! lol

Mark W
True. Especially when it comes to riding natural. He's not World Champion for nothing. Have you ever seen him ride a comp in person?
Tomm
it's a bad idea to judge how good people are from videos. Which is a much nicer way of saying what I was going to post. Whatever, I'm sure Stan won't mind :) I think Ben is in a different league to be honest...

Have you ever seen him ride a comp in person? Yes i have actually, iv ridden with both riders in person... i still think that stan is better on 26" than ben, if stan was riding a 20" then by all means, ben would shit all over stan and probably himself :) just, stan sidehops that massive bike lockers thingy at morcambe, and backwheels it, i didnt see ben side hop it at all, he tryed, but JUST failed! i didnt see him front touch it either, just front hookinh it.... You've missed the point :) A big square-ish object from a nice flat surface isn't the same as some slippy as f**k rocks in the middle of a river, in a timed section, in front of a huge crowd, with a world title on the line. On two types of bike. In one day. That's why I specifically said natural :P

It doesn't make me a better rider though :P by no means at all haha. Just maybe better at them two techniques. I would rather be able to ride natural like Ben than sidehop/tap a cycle locker. Stan. :)
Waynio
thats what has intrigued me about UCI that some/most of the sections are more "streety" than a normal "BIU" section????? i think next year il probably trip to a couple of the UCI to get a feel for what its like but i would have to ride against the likes of vincent and such forth. its like sooooooooooo obvios i wouldnt do well but i probably wouldnt be put off by someone being better than me id just get on with it, i think ther is less pressure and more chance to really enjoy yourself and have fun if your not the favourite. its not about how good you are id rather be able to get along with people than someone stand in front of me and say im well better than you........cos really i wouldnt be too bothered, im more interested in doing "my" best for myself not for others kind of thing. there is no point comparing stan and ben cos its just not possible really 2 different riders with 2 different styles..............and its pretty much the same between alot of riders...........i found it really really amusing what Akrigg said to me yesterday.........someone E-mailed the "Trial Noir" website and hes going to show me it this week but the person who has written the e-mail is in a short way put "your not as good as them is this why you have to make a video" and blah blah blah. i will actually post more about it and you will be able to see it on the trial noir website soon, but its just about right for a young la who doesnt know what hes on about who just believe what HE wants to believe.which is how it shouldnt be. But ye UCI is split up into age categories a bit like BIU is in the 20" class wher you have got (i cant rememebr exactly) but you have ager categories to a certain step. i think its cadet and senior main thing that seperates em is age???:) im sure someone can make that sound right for me :P Waynio...............................
