Mr Motivator
I've only had my king about 6 months and took my wheel out today to put on a new sprocket and saw this (Y) Obviously it's still under warrenty but is it worth the hastle of sending back to the states to get fixed? Or shall I just keep using it and if it gets any worse, ship it back?? Do you think this well affect any performance and how the f**k did it happen?!?!?!?!!?!?!? Sam

Stan Shaw
My HD Axle has been cracked for a few weeks now, and ive been riding and it hasn't affected the hub i dont think. Although i reckon if you leave it for ages it could damage other parts of the hub?
street trials rider
that aint too bad a break... atleast you can still use it... unlike when i bust my HD bolt  oh and i clean snapped a classic axle in half last year :- sent it back and payed the upgrade price to HD, then sold the full wheel to my friend with a brand new axle + bolts + collor
Mr Motivator
I can't see how it snapped though? I guess its just a bit of a design fault as it cant take the pressure and load? I've no idea how long it has been like that, I'm sure I would have noticed when I switched frames so it can only have been like that for a max of about 3 months. Hmmn. I guess I'll just keep using it a it is, and if more breaks off I'll send it back.
TheChai
my axle did that aswell. (janson on chais account, whoops!) Edited November 4, 2005 by TheChai
sexymike
sorry boys but that IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY basically that happens only in trials, when u put a huge load through the hub its trying to pull it forwards. as the grip n the Axle digs into the frame the pressure rips that outer coating off and breaks. Try a claim if u want, Evo told me to fcuk off
Dan Clark
Interesting point: I was reading through the Evo catalogue the other week, and it was showing off about the Ring Drive system, and it said something like "so it ensures the hub never slips, just ask the worlds top trials riders!" Surely they shouldn't be saying that as they don't advocate use for trials? Not sure whether its a fault on Evolutions or King's behalf. Tomm
All the world's top trials riders use their sponsors' dodgy cranks and front freewheel anyway. And why would you want to get that replaced? It's not going to affect the hub in any way. Just leave it
