quick_spider
I've just renewed my policy and changed insurers as my old company wanted more than my original quote despite having a years no claims bonus. The new company need proof of my no claims entitlement. How do I get it? Obviously I'll phone my old insurer, but they're shut now and I'm after an answer. Brisa
Just call your old insurer when they open again and ask for proof of no claims. They will send you a letter with it stated that you then post on to your new insurer. Edited November 2, 2005 by Brisa

RicH_87
out of interest, who was your original insurer. Just i gotta renew mine in the new year and the whole reason i got my own policy was so it would be cheaper. i won't be happy if they charge me more. quick_spider
It was Doric/Autodirect. I'm with swiftcover now - used confused.com to find the best price. I probably could have got it down more if it'd searched more, but I don't have the time. Jon
Brisa
I saved £400 on mine from looking at internet insurer's to scouring the yellow pages for local ones. £400 is a lot of dosh for an hour with the phone... (Y)
