cookie456_the2nd
I replaced my bottom bracket today cos it was knackered and loose n everything and when i took it out to my surprise it was literally in pieces, like cracked n bits fallin off here n there. For the min ive got another un53 but i have the feelin this one mite do just the same. What other decent BBs are there apart from shimano and fsa? (had bad experiences with them too!) Cheers. Endohopper
For what it's worth , Shimano's UN52 ain't too bad , I ran one for well over a year , but ultimately Octalink / ISIS offers greater strength at a lower weight .
SQuiT-man
I wouldnt mind knowing this too, I think mine may be well on its way out-the other day i went to a skatepark, and just riding up the jump box with some speed made my BB go weird and really hard to turn at certain parts of the crank rotation, although after getting off the bike and turning the cranks loads of times, it seemed to loosen itself back off again. I wonder what happened? Cheap square tapers other than shimano, anyone?
