ive done the treadmill, trials, and too much squash in short space of time. and im mincing everywhere, its quite painful to do somethings

is there anything i can eat or do to ease this? other than rest

Make sure you are stretching before and after exercise, otherwise the muscle soreness will occur (well it probably will anyway just not as bad), or even a good ol' massage will help alleviate the horrible achy feeling, or even put ice on where it feels sore the most.

Or just be a man and deal with it :P

When i do weights though, i do them really slow and can feel all the muscles im whatever im doing twitching etc.

Just want to know why its taking so long to repair

Stretch and shake down after excersising.

Also eat something protien rich, it kick starts the recovery process apparently. Worked for me anyway.

Hope I've helped. :D

Makes sense really. I just do the weights, dont bother with all these protein shakes etc.

If you wanna get the balance muscles in your ankles working or just do your legs, fill a backpack with about 10 2L bottles of water and go for a walk..

Anybody wanting to train properly i would advise you go out and buy a good training book and start learning about everything before hand :) because some of the post in here haha quite funny :P

Was that aimed at me? :ermm:

Remember, correct me, I am noob. I just read about it and did it, I end up sore for days afterwards, but I ate a mega tuna butty after my routine on Friday, on Saturday I was reet to ride the hell out of the new bike.

Maybe the lie in had summat to do with it.

absolutely minced it in the gym today.

got

70kgX10 three sets bench with varying incline

10 pull ups hands facing both ways

whole stack on the pec fly (doesnt have the weight only numbers, anyway 21 weights)

then the backwards ones (rear doleriod or something), was on 16 for that

21s with 20kg

biceps 14kgx10 3sets

tricep dips

lat pull down (10)

tricep pull down (6)

leg press, basically whole stack

treadmill for 10

all that in 40 mins, with ten mins to get changed and go to class. sick

whats your bicep measurement now, flexed, but with no pump???

5 weeks hard cutting for me, probably gunna see an inch off my biceps, but hopefully a lot more of my waist.

You need a little machine thing, in clamps you and goes beep.

If you still went to the gym, they would have one!

I ment is there a way to do it with out the calipers :(

lol @ muel :P

anyone no how you work out body fat ?

erm, can use the lil digital machines that u hold on to/strap round you, or some scales have them built in, but there pretty inaccurate as they go on conductivity of your skin, which is bollox is your sweaty/dehydrated/overhydrated.

underwater weighing is by far the best method.

but for the cheap, reliable way of doing it yourself. accu-measure(or the like) skinfold calipers. can get them for like £8 posted on ebay.
