Burton
AndrewT is right about most of the new range of companies Ts looking very similar. Dont really like the name. Definately dont like the designs. just not to my taste. The try to look fashionable but to punk/rocker people. ''Click for more details'' doesnt work for some. The new T-shirt compaines can't really compare with the likes of Animal, Oakley, Onfire, Koxx, etc. due to them not having the 'bam!' in your face impression. Effort has gone in, but not really that interesting. ^^^^^^^^that t-shirt looks horrid as well

Python sticks :P Niiiice. Click for more details works for every product. It has to. It's a Database. So looks like your browser's f**ked. And it looks like I could class you as abnormal. As I've already had 14 pre-orders for the above T-Shirt. And you're the only person to say tou think it's 'horrid'. Anyway. Sorry for 'bothering' you with information you might of wanted. Laters. Nick just a thought but you could shorten it or as an acranim(sp) sorry don't know how its spelt but to Two Plus One T.P.O just a thought.. ok.. a very VERY shit one LOL oh wells :D :D Oh yeah. Cheers :P We thought 2+1 :D

Mark W
Here's another Tee we're running with we think.... Hope you all like it. Did JonMac do all those pre-orders, by any chance? ----------- Anyway, I was just talking to Danny (ooh, name-drop) on MSN about this - I don't get why your designs are mostly "2plus1clothing.co.uk" in different fonts with different colours. It's the same with like 99% of the "clothing company" shirts out at the moment. I don't get why you'd just put the name of an unknown company on the front of a T-shirt, just to display the unknown company's name again? You don't go into TK Maxx and buy a T-shirt which just has "TK MAXX.COM" written across the front, so what's different here? You know it's a good design that works well if it's just a straight-up design, which people then ask the wearer of the shirt where they got it from (or have a really, really small logo/name somewhere). Just putting a URL on a T-shirt isn't really a great design, it's just fancy letters?

RicH_87
its obvious why other companies do it, its basically free advertising. Infact it's better than free, becasue people are paying the company money to walk around as a human advertisment board. I am guilty of the same thing, nearly all my tees have a brand name on them somewhere, be it ripcurl, quicksilver, dc, billabong etc... not becasue i want people to know what make i wear, but becasue i like to be associated with those brands. And is nicks defence, he's just going along with what he see's major companies doing. It works for them, so why not copy and make sure he makes at least a bit of cash. He's obviously gone into this with a set idea of what he wanted, rather than thinking, i'll make a company,...now i'll get all unique with the designs, he's perhaps thought, i'll makes some tees like the ones i wear,...now i'll have to make a company. I ain't arguing, you are right about being a human sandwitchboard all the time, but at the end of the day, we all wear brand names, and we all do it out of choice, so just don't try and get all alternative and anti conformist on nick for doing what we all do every day. stubert
Since this clothing is being advertised on this forum, im prosuming its in the interest of bikers. When im out riding i dont like to wear my good clothes, for typical reasons. I think these tee's provide a good resource of well priced and probably good quality clothing, that looks quite stylish at the same time. I dont think its essential that you wear a top that says "KOXX", or, "OAKLEY" across it, its mearly something to cover us up. Most of the clothes i have are unbranded and look very smart, and im all for supporting up and coming companies, as i myself have been in the same situation as them, trying to start my own company last year. I've looked at these designs and spoken with a member of the company. They come across as a hard working, intelligent and an enthusiastic group that have worked their ass off to get this far...... good luck (Y)

Erm, I wouldn't say I was being "anti-conformist" (if there was such a thing...), I just meant that it'd be nicer to see some really good designs come out, as opposed to just going onto dafont.com, looking for new fonts and just writing the same thing out again. The "don't+hurt+me+again" one was OK, and was a start I guess, but it's not something I'd wear, ever, at all... All I was getting at is that it'd be better to actually make some f**king awesome designs, not just write your company name. If you think about it, Koxx and Oakley (to use your examples?) make those T-shirts to show you represent the brand as a whole, which already well established. They didn't start off by selling their T-shirts with their name on it, did they? They, and almost literally every other company who does a T-shirt just with their name on it, only do that well after their brand identity is established. John Shrewsbury
Being apart of Engageclothing and having t'shirts and hoodys for free is great. But there is the other thing, helping to get the clothing out there to sell it. So we wear are Engageclothing every where we ride always. You' ve seen videos, pics off Tunni,Porter,CLscott and me (Shrewsbury) wearing are top's.We wear them to support a dealer (ben trinder). We get aload off him. Hes one of the best sponsor's ive ever had, well first ever real sponsor ive had. And theres Craig lee scotts clothing, SECNDLAYERCLOTHING brand, which is just like Engageclothing. lets let these guys from 2PLUS1 have ago too. Engageclothing and secndlayer ant going nowhere. Theres going to be alot more clothing and good ideas coming soon from Ben trinder and craig lee scott and there teams too. john
