Brake Boosters

They do increase braking at they divert more power onto the rim. Not only that but they do protect your crossover cable aswell. Two bolt boosters are lighter, generaly cheaper (compared the their 4 bolt couterpart) and possibly easier to setup, but they won't be as good as a 4 bolt.

Wait around for the heatsink booster, not ever tried one, but heard nothing bad about them.

If your still using magura pads and are thinking of getting a booster to increase your braking power, change the pads first, it'll make a much bigger difference than getting a booster.

As you are thinking of buying a brake booster to increase your braking power, as JT said try some new pads first, and especially because the wet weather is here, you may want try a grind, this will increase the friction between your pads and the rim, thus resulting in better stopping power, and about the booster i have heard that the echo range are quite good, although i have only used magura ones, but they have worked for me!

hope I help.

ollie.

I rode a mates bike with the new heatsink booster. Tis lush, I could not feel, nor get any flex. Thats even squeezing the brake as hard as i could and just watching the backend. SOLID. Get one. Thjey look abit chunkey though.
