Ash-Kennard
Does anyone know much about these hubs yet,(26", not fixed) as I have a few questions. 1. can you put a sprocket on it? 2.can you change the size of the cog? 3.will they be strong? 4.will it fit a leeson, like the same as a hope, or will it need a skewer like a king? 5.can it take a skewer? 6.What does "Super fast engagement (Almost 100 at the pedals!) " mean? Help will be aprieciated.

downhill_rob2@hotmail.com
Dont count your chickens intill they have hatched, therefore, dont try to predict the life of the new hub. These hubs surly will have been put through lots of testing n shit. So they should be sound. (hopfully around £75) then id buy one to try it out (Y)

Ashley Smith
Yeah Ash, just get a Hope Mono (Y) Let's just face it, there is never going to be a Hope Pro 2. wtf, can i ask what do you know about this, exactly, nothing, the hope pro 2 design is now finalised, and should be in shops very very soon, there will be the standard pro 2 in various combinations, with 24 eps with aluminium cassette body then there will be the pro 2 t model for trials, which has stainless steel cassette body, as hope are now ceasing production of all titanium products due to its high price, this includes qrs and cassette bodys, these hubs should be appearing within the next few weeks according to the designer, there are also going to be a single speed version released which will allow for a six speed cassette to be run, whilst having a dishless rear wheel, this will be a future product though......... cheers ash

Ashley Smith
so the hope pro 2 hubs WILL be in shops before christmas?? Also will they be available in anodised colouring?? Cheers Tom from what i have been told from the designer , yes........................ they will be in shops and in the anodised colours, the one on my bike is the pro 2 t model, this is the one which will be sold, it is absolutely solid, its my 6th different version and it is awesome, it uses the leaf spring and pawl design similar to a profile, it has 4 bearings and a 15mm axle, so no flexing causing skipping like older model xcs, which cuased skipping due to the axle stretching and flexing, this what was the problem causing big burrs, around the ratchet body, we have not had this problem with the new one ash i will find out hopes release date this week and post back here cheers
James_Porter
are hope still waiting on the bearings?
Tom Booth
will the axle be a bolt up or is it still qr's?? mesa hope its bolt up, only thing that put me off a hope. Cheers for the info matey (Y) much apreciated Tom
Ashley Smith
no, hope are no longer waiting for bearings, they have started using different manufacturers now, from what i am told from the designer, the axles come with a 5mm hole for the qr, however an m6 tap is easily run down this then m6 stainless cap head screws are about 20 p each, although when the single speed hub is released i am told trhis will come with m10 cap heads as standard, i am currently awaiting my single speed hub from them, as i am wanting the dishless rear wheel option ash
downhill_rob2@hotmail.com
Why dont hope make a trials hub for a mod? This means that you wouldnt have to pay a fortune on a really good hub! lol I would rather pay £70 for a hope hub, that pay £200 for a profile..... Mark W
Edd Potts managed to make a Hope fit a mod. Worked on the same principle as the CK hubshells being used for MTB with the cassette end attached, and then the same hubshell used for BMX with a slightly smaller end attached. Tech terms galore ;) Anyways, he did it, so I guess they make mod hubs, technically :P
downhill_rob2@hotmail.com
Lol, it would cost a fortune to take that into buissness though? Plus, it would help if i had a hope hub ;)
