Teaming
Righteo, I'm putting together a 24" hopefully quite soon. I've not had any experience with them at all (only having 20" and 26" inchers) I was wondering if this set-up would be suitable: Frame: DMR rhythm Forks: Marzocchi Dirt Jam comps Wheelset: ???????? (need help with these) Headset: FSA pig / orbita Stem: Easton Vice CNC stem Handlebars: Easton ea70 risers Crankset: DMR crisis BB: ISIS gigapipe Front chainring: DMR saturn I've not got a huge budget, so let me know if I can improve this set-up for the similar amount of moeny please Cheers Jack EDIT: oooo I just came across these, what are these like? look amazing! 24 seven slack Edited October 30, 2005 by Teaming
Fishy
are you going single speed? Dirt jams are very heavy, and if your doing street aswell, i would recomend some none-suspension forks... the on-one forks are surpposed to be very good
Teaming
Yea, I had a look a the one-on, but I'm into jumping mroe than street really. I've got a pair of dirt jams at the moment and they are wayyyy to heavy for my style. I really like the look of these 24/7s though (pics above). Look gorgeous and with lifetime warranty on frame, bars and cranks (Y) doody...... Jackery (Y)
fredrico
Get the v24 slack it has the great darkangelv24 frame with all of 24sevens top componentry which are all raved about in mbuk so it will be a great bike for street or jumping. Jules
The v24 slack looks really nice, good spec as well, i would go for that (Y)
craigjames
the bike is pretty good spec for dirt jumpin, the dirt jams are very heavy as has already been said, if you could stretch to the manitou upgrade for only a hundred and fifty quid the it would a lot more manouveralble in the air. only thing bout the 24/7 kit is i have had a few mates destroy their cranks, yeah they have a lifetime warranty but it is annoying if they break!! if your gonna build up your bike look at the atomlab wheelsets, you can get them from chainreaction cycles. also look at the azonic steelhead frame cheers (Y)

Utterly useless creations, more crack happy than a plumbers arse. As for the other comments, all good. 24-7 are tougher and ride better than DMR. As for the other comments, all good. 24-7 are tougher and ride better than DMR. ive only ridden my mates and his had been fine so far, touch wood, so was only basing it on that!! i ride a azonic evo 2 with 24" atomlabs and it ride sweet, nice and light flys pretty sraight and is as strong as you like. but keep it steel is my advice, can only get away with alu if your smooth of have loads of money!! marzo's have solid internals but are pretty heavy, those manitous are bein used by loads of people now, having used shermans i know there pretty smooth and are a damn site lighter the atomlab wheels are well built bits of kits, i've had a set and thrashed them and theyve held up well, sealed bearings, all black adn if you get the air corps you get a light weight set of wheels wich will last.
