Chicky
Right so i went for my CBT on 125 today. Me and this other lad were doing it. We finished about 4 hours early and they told us we're coming back next thursday. I'm guessing we didnt pick things up quickly enough but i felt i could easily go onto the roads and ride whereever i wanted. Anyway, was just wondering if anyone else has taken the cbt for 125 cc motorbikes and how it went for them? I'm f'cking gutted i didnt get my cbt certificate today because i wanted to go ride my bike tommorow but ohwell. cheers
Ingram
strange, ive heard stories of people falling off and still getting their certificate, dunno if there are true or not, this was when they were 16 so for a 50cc, should still be same for 125 though. that NBR dude
Its very very hard to fail a CBT. I know one person who fell off and passed, one who basically ran a red light and passed. I think a geniune mistake is fine and you pass, but driving like an arse is obviously going to get you a fail.
Steve-A
They might be doing it in stages, rather than a single day? I'm doing my 125 CBt with a motorcycle training scheme near me thats run by volenteers, they are properly qualified but its not a business. This means they only teach on sunday mornings, so I have to do 2-3 sunday mornings to get my CBT, got my second morning tomorrow. It works out nicely, as because they aren't getting paid they dont mind taking their time and making sure your as safe as possible before you ride on your own. It also means I will get free instruction right upto passing my proper bike test (Y)
delusional
I just did my 125 CBT today, we finished in about 6 hours total (from 9 to 3). There was someone else there on a geared 50 who was really crap - had no idea how to use gears at all, to the point that on the ride around he had to be taken back to the centre and changed onto a automatic. Apparantly he ran a red light at one point as well, but still got his certificate. I've never heard of anyone failing a CBT; infact, unless you're actually incapable of learning how to ride a bike I don't think you can fail them. I imagine if you finished early then they were probably just short on time when you did it. Didn't they explain why you would have to come back to finish? Rob_P
Yes your right; You cant actually fail a CBT, it's trainning not a test. They teach you how to ride a bike, not examine you on how you ride. Thats what happens when you do your full bike test, much like a car. You have lessons and them do the final test. So you've got to go back for trainning because your: a) Fully retarded b ) They ran out of time c) You need to perfect the things you've learnt So yeh nothing wrong, just need to get it right. We don't want a load of wasps on wheels flying about like nutters do we....O sh*t wait, we already do!
