Mr Motivator
I have a bike with a 1" threaded steerer. Which sucks. I want to use my 1 1/8" stem with it, so after my own research I've found these; http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ProductDetail.aspx...05832&UberCat=0 Is that what I want and if it is which one do i want? PaRtZ
I have a bike with a 1" threaded steerer. Which sucks Sorry to sound picky but do you mean fork? confused me a bit :P and I know this is going to sound very bodgtastic, but if you put a collar of say rubber over the threaded bit (which is tight around the threads still) then couldn't you use a 1 1/8" stem on that collar and save a bit of money? Possibly, could be wrong
Mr Motivator
With a 1" set up, the stem goes inside the steerer tube on the forks. The steerer does not need to come above the top of the headset so there is no room to clamp a stem externaly.
