Luke_bradley
Hi all, I have an Echo Pure frame with Pure forks, middleburn cranks with blue bash plate, back red hope xc hub with an echo rim the one with the cnc rectangles which are silver and black with silver spokes, black un-named pedals. I will be changing the whole front wheel so that doesn't matter. For christmas i will be getting the new 2006 echo rims to replace my current front and back rims and i will also be getting a new front red xc hub. The problem is i do not know what would look good on my bike. I was thinking maybe red rims with the red xc's and just black pedals or blue pedals to match the bash guard, or i like the idea of gold rims but i think they might not look good on the red xc's and the blue bash guard. In total i will be buying new pedals, grips, rims, front hub, tyres, booster, single speed kit, brake pads, chain What do you think i should get?(colours , brands etc) 'cus i don't want my bike to look naff after all this spending. Any suggestions would be great, Luke :P

nmt_oli
as others have said, stick to black silver and ONE other colour(this is components obviously, if the frame is a different colour thats ok). start mixing up more than that and it just doesn't look right. either go all blue, or all red. I personally prefer blue, but it would be easier for you to go red, as you could get your bashguard machined, making it lighter, and silver :P My last bike was white frame, with black/silver components and blue hubs and bashgaurd. This one is silver framed with mostly black components, and gold accents (hub, headset, ect.)

TomN
Yer I agree and go with Red, get rid of the bash for a red one or get Leeson to mill your bash, get a red headset ie Hope, or the new Echo range, get rid of the blue chain stay protector and get eiher black or a red one such a lizard skin one or DMR. And do what Tim said cutting yer seat tube down a bit. Plus am gunna say get Maxxis tyres which out the ornage line but thats me I dont like the orange line around the tyre. Boothy
Personally I think buying new Echo rims for the sake of it seems a little ppintless if there is nothing wrong with your current Echo rims. Why not save the money until something breaks, meaning you can replace it quicker, and be riding again sooner. Also, I would stick to silver, black and one other colour, and IMO blue would be good, as loads of people already have red.
