BONGO
Ok i have a few really good covers from bands that have remade quality songs pretty heavily. Like THE AGONY SCENE - PAINT IT BLACK (original by rolling stones.) Basically i just want some really good heavy covers. cheers john

AdamR28
Wicked Game - HIM (Original by Chris Isaac (spelling)). Not that heavy, but an awesome tune! Edit: I've actually got 2 versions of that cover - the one that isnt the 'New Version' is better (Y)

endofreak
There's a great Punk cover of The Proclaimers' 500 miles. I think it might have been by NOFX? None of these are all that heavy but they are some of my personal favourites. Throwdown - Baby Got Back Soil - Black Betty Orgy - Blue Monday Limp Bizkit - Jump Around Korn - One Atreyu - You Gave Love A Bad Name Then theres Cannibal Corpses' cover of Roots and Cradel Of Filths' cover of Hallowed Be Thy Name. I personally think the original versions of these 2 were better.
Brian Bleech
ballroom blitz - misfits my generation - oasis i dunno if the misfits actually covered this, because 1 - i can't find it anywhere 2 - when i look up the lyrics i get Are you ready, Steve? Aha. Andy? Yeah! Mick? OK. Alright, fellas, let's go! which makes no sense as no in the misfits is called that, and those the the names of the peeps in 'The Sweet' who did the origional version. anyhow 'the hunt' - sepultura (new model army) 'helter skelter' - motley crue (the beatles) 'ballroom blitz' - crucial taunt (the sweet) slayer did a covers album, i remember it being pretty shitty...hahaha and i already know you are a metallica fan

Haz
There's a great Punk cover of The Proclaimers' 500 miles. I think it might have been by NOFX? Yeah, they did a version of it. As did [spunge]. Which was nice. Hotel California - SkaDaddyz (The Eagles) - Not exactly heavy, meh, it's a cover, I like it. Rio - Goldfinger (Duran Duran) Whisky in the Jar - Metalica (Thin Lizzy) Feeling Good - Muse (no idea) Are the best covers I can think of that are actually any good. haydon_peter
http://www.fatdrunkstupid.com/ I have seen this band a couple of times now and they officially rule! All they do is punk covers, they dont care what anyone else thinks and they just have fun when they play gigs ^_^ On their website you will find 3 decent quality mp3's to download as well as a live video from their second gig in 1991 (They have been going a long time!) in a small Dorset pub <_<
