Couple Of Questions On My Drive

I have a 16t ring up front and a 14t up the back and I'm running a KMC Kool K710 (BMX one).

First off I need a new chain, it's old and worn. I'm deffinatley going to get annother Kool but..

I could also do with a new 14t rear sprocket because, at the moment, my BMX Kool sometimes skips over my 14t sprocket as is is just one from a cassette.

So, do I;

1. Get a new Kool K710 (BMX) and either a King Kog, Surley cog or similar to stop skippage

or,

2. Get a new Kool K810 (Cassette Kool) and have done with it.

???

Get a 14t DX Sprocket. Then get a new chain. Will work a treat and you'll have change from £15 rather than getting king kogs etc.

The K810 is the 'cassette' narrow version, its just the same as the bmx one but narrower, so I can't see it making any difference.

I would never run a cassette cog on the rear, its silly to constantly replace your chain, when your running the risk of it slipping off, which could have all the same problems as the chain snapping.

pppphhh.....pussy :)

i will be running one of these soon, got a 14T one here (asked for a 16T....b*****d) - but they look very good. Designed for a bmx chain, the KHE collapse fits perfect on it and has a wide (4mm-ish) base and is steel. it looks good (Y) can't wait to get it on my bike.

Is it actually 4mm?

The ones on tartybikes are 4.5mm and are 20 quid.. So if that one ^^ is 4.5 I'll have one of them as they are cheappppppppppppp.
