Custom Lever Blades...

I was thinking of somehow moulding a custom lever blade for my maggie, one that doesn't crush your fingers betweeen lever and bar if it decides to undo itself like it does, or if the frame flexes...

I'm planning on getting a four bolt booster soon, but has anyone ever thought about it before? If not, do you like the idea?

Cheers, Nathan ;)

Aaron (todge) who does freshproducts company makes his own 1 finger lever blades which fit into a magura. if i was you i would go on freshproducts.co.uk and take a look at the custom lever blade and e-mail him to find out how you make them ;) Or you could buy one off him but i don't think they are available yet. better still you could just PM him his name on the forum is todge.

Cheers,

Tom

those fresh product levers are looking even better now,

anyway what levers do you have nathan 04 or 05?

i have o4 and never hurt may fingers with the lever. and with the 05 ones i have used i have never done the same, maybe just move the lever down a bit, bit easier than making a new 1. also how do you plan to 'mould' a lever blade i'm intreaged

errrrrrr its just an old olympia one - pic here:

I've had a look at the blades they look pretty mad...

I might email him and ask how to make one ;)

But mine would be flat bar side so that it doesn't cut my finger :) ;)

I don't think I'll try and make one myself it could be quite tricky...

I've moved my lever in already but sometimes I still crush my third finger (I use two for braking) ;)

If you're single-finger braking, you should be able to get away with running the lever further towards the stem. You can adjust it so it starts a little closer to the bar itself too (using the grub screw) so it's not a big stretch or anything too...
